Before Dael

Friday, 7:15pm

Every table is full and the kitchen is slammed. Your host is walking a party of four to their seat, the line is out the door, and the phone has been ringing for ten minutes.

A family wants a table for six tomorrow. A regular wants to pick up two orders on the way home. Both hear voicemail and call the place down the street. You see the missed calls at midnight and never know what they were.

Dael turns the calls you miss during service into booked tables, takeout orders for your team to confirm and catering inquiries you can follow up.

Your front desk team

Five agents. One team.

Each agent does one job well, and they hand work to each other. You approve every script before it goes live.

  • Answer

    Host

Picks up every call your team misses, during the rush and after close. Books tables and answers hours, directions and menu questions from the details you approve.

A full dining room no longer means a ringing phone nobody answers.

  • Answer

    Takeout taker

Captures pickup orders: items, pickup name and time. Texts the order to your team to confirm. It never takes a card number, so payment happens at pickup or in your own system.

Takeout orders stop going to voicemail on your busiest nights.

  • Respond

    Catering and large party rep

Calls every catering, large party and private event inquiry from your website or Google profile in under 60 seconds. Gathers the date, headcount and location, and books a call with you.

You win the big bookings before the next caterer calls back.

  • Revive

    Event follow up

Follows up catering and large party inquiries from people who asked to hear back but haven't confirmed, by call and text, on a schedule you set.

Inquiries that went quiet turn into confirmed events.

  • Report

    Monday report

Calls answered, tables booked, takeout orders passed to your team and the questions guests asked most, with every recording one tap away.

You see what the phone did for you during service last week.

How they work together

The Zero-Miss Protocol.

Calls and new leads feed one booking step. Anything not booked gets followed up until there's a yes or a no. Reporting and memory run under everything.

An example day

A day with Dael.

What a day can look like once your front desk never misses. An illustration, not a customer's numbers.

  1. 7:00am

Monday report lands: calls answered, tables booked, takeout orders passed to your team and the questions guests asked most.

  2. 11:20am

A catering inquiry arrives through your website for a 40 person office lunch. Called in under a minute. A tasting call is booked for Thursday.

  3. 12:30pm

Lunch rush. The host answers 6 calls: hours, parking and two takeout orders. Each order reaches your manager as a text to confirm.

  4. 3:15pm

The event follow up reaches someone who asked to hear back about a party of 14. They confirm Saturday.

  5. 6:45pm

Friday rush. Every table is full and the phone keeps ringing. The host books 3 tables for Saturday. A guest asks about a nut allergy, so it says please speak with our staff and texts your manager.

  6. 10:50pm

After close, a caller asks if you take a party of 8 on Sunday. The host books the table and texts your manager the details.

What your agent asks

The questions your best person would ask.

You edit these during the build. The agent asks one at a time, in plain language, and only answers from facts you've approved.

Every caller

  • Reservation, takeout or a question
  • Party size
  • Preferred day and time
  • Name and the best number to text
  • Seating notes like a highchair, the patio or wheelchair access

Takeout and catering

  • Takeout items, quantities and pickup time
  • Name and number for the confirmation text
  • Catering date, headcount and location
  • Best time for a call with you

What it never does

  • Take card numbers or payments by voice
  • Answer allergy or food safety questions
  • Promise a table before checking your calendar

Works with

  • Google Calendar
  • Google Business Profile calls
  • Instagram
  • Website forms
  • Catering inquiry forms

Fair questions

What owners worry about.

Will it take payments over the phone?

No. It never takes a card number by voice. Takeout orders reach your team as a text to confirm, and guests pay at pickup or through your own ordering system.

What about allergy questions?

It never answers them. It says "please speak with our staff", takes a number and texts your manager, so a person calls the guest back.

What if it gets the menu or hours wrong?

It only answers from the menu, hours and specials you give it. Anything else becomes a text to your team, and you sign off the script before it goes live.

My team already answers when they can.

They still answer first. Dael picks up when the host stand is swamped or the kitchen is closed, and hands a text to your manager whenever a guest asks for a person.
